Due to mechanical damage from a previous projects the Tamar Bridge’s suspension cable stanchions were in need of maintenance.

 

Paintel Ltd prepared the steel to an St3 standard while working at height using hand tools and abrasive paper.

 

The coating system included an elastomeric paint which flexes with the movement of the bridge.
